Brand was founded by Italian designer Robert DeMario in 1940s in New York and stoped production in 1960s.  The famous jewelry designer used faceted Austrian crystal beads and rhinestones delivering superior craftsmanship and design. Also, one of the things that brought success to Robert DeMario was the fact that he was hand making or hand finishing the jewelry he produced in limited editions.  Since the company's production was limited, and not in large quantities, DeMario jewelry is in short supply and highly collectible.
 
Why we love it? Among everything else we are stunned by the quality and color of the rhinestones, this is the most rich and vibrant red, especially in the sunlight.
